Spammers! Yay!!

This is one of the things that helped kill GZE. Spammers. Why? Because I had absolutley no idea how to combat them. I mean, I could probably figure out where the spam is coming from, then block all registrations on all the software on the website, and then hope that nobody legitimate gets blocked in the process. What saddened me further is how real people would actually sit in front of a computer, entering text for capchas. Needs to get a life much?

If only I knew some more…. professional… webmasters. Like.. some.. at…. Ozzu…….

And I could actually call myself a webmaster. Pfft. I can install software. WordPress for example. Easy as pie. And make pages and center text, color it (after a google or two), make it bigger (after a google or two), and add links. Everything else, is about as hard as doing algebra to me. I mean, I can do it, yeah. But do I know how to, or have ever had the will to learn how to? Not really. I guess that I get points for having dreams about what could be done with websites I webmaster. I did that in GZE, but when dreams collided with reality.. Well, there’s a certaint point, near the center of the hallway between dream and reality where you realize that this is a lot more complicated than you thought. And that hit me like a brick, and I realized that overhauling GZE wasn’t gonna be as simple as installing Joomla!, writing up some pages, and attempting to make my own shitty graphics.

But I guess that Benie’s Builds is different because I won’t let myself give up so easily. There’s a feeling within me that if I just give up on trying to make BB succeed, that I’ll let Ben down. And Ben, when you read this, don’t try to convince me otherwise. And now that I know that giving up hurts alot more than failure.. I don’t think I’ll give up too easily.
