Neveron Didn’t Last/A New Bay/A Home For a Friend/OMGCOG

Monday, August 25th, 2008

Well, I’m sitting on tier two of the just finished, two tiered home of now properly called friend, Baalel. Just a few hours, the top of this little hill was a rough mess of moss, and had a few lurking creatures. Now, it’s a perfectly shaped housing area for Baalel, somebody whom I met camping out on the side of Infinity Highway. It took us, just a few hours to lower over twenty-two tiles down four point four kilometers. What does it look like?

Well, there it is. I don’t have a before shot, unfortunatley. I didn’t think of it at the time. :(

This is the first terraforming project of this size I’ve taken part in, and it’s gotten Bennie’s skill up really nice. Oh, yeah. Bennie is an alt that I’m raising the skills on for Benie.

In other news, if you read Benie’s blog, you’ll have seen that Neveron disbanded. :’(

The reason why is a combination of things, mainly for another village though. But, because of this, there is now a new bay on the way.

The bay’s name, being Bennie Bay. If you don’t read Benie’s blog, Bennie bay is a reincarnation of Neveron, except this time, it’s actually going to follow the original intentions of Neveron. Just me, Benie, and gop. But, the reason Baalel is living right by us… He’s a friend as well, and has needed a new place to live. So, he’s going to live by us, on Moss Hill.

Now, as for the OMGCOG portion of this post…

Our cog. It is MASSIVE.

Our cog. It is MASSIVE.

:D It costed twenty silver, but damn, was it a good birthday present for Benie.

Also, the view from the crows nest ain’t too bad, either. ;)

Rebel Island: The series that seems dead!

Friday, August 8th, 2008

Well. I haven’t even made one hint about my series of stories called Rebel Island yet in my blog. And, since it’s been a while since I’ve actually paid any attention to it.. I figured, why not make the first post pertaining to it, have to do with why I haven’t been doing much with it lately? Well, anyway…

You may be thinking “Okay, what’s this ‘Rebel Island’ that he’s speaking of?” if you aren’t being redirected here from the custom forum on Facepunch. Well, Rebel Island took root in my Algebra class. For the first trimester, all we were doing was reviewing simple math, from previous grades. Algebra was kinda boring. Since I have bad handwriting, I was put through an evaluation to get a thing called an AlphaSmart. And, I did my math on that. Well, I got an idea one day (While we were reviewing fractions…) for a story. That took place on an antlion farm, which was out in the middle of some ocean or sea near City 17. I thought up a name, and liked it. So, I began writing out the first few lines of the introduction. Then a thought whacked me in the face with a frying pan. What action would there be on an antlion farm, besides people getting eaten by the antlions? Maybe.. Nah. Perhaps, there’s a small chance that… Nope, nothing.  And then another thought came by, and handed me a melon. How about, an island of escapees from another city, by City 17? And so, I began. “It was a cold cloudy day…” was put down on file eight of my AlphaSmart, and since the boring math continued, so did the story. And, for the name? I stuck with the one I was going to use for the antlion farm island.

So, that’s how Rebel Island was born. So, how did it continue? Well… I had written out this nice little story. What was I gonna do with it? Let people on Facepunch see it, of course! People liked it. And the boring math continued on. So, soon there was a Rebel Island, part two. Shortly followed by a Rebel Island, part three. The stories continued to be written, even though the boring math had stopped. But then Rebel Island five got released. Rebel Island six was mentioned, and then things quieted down. I stopped working on Rebel Island. School got out, and the main reason that I wrote the stories was because of school. But, I’m working on it again. So, expect to see a release of two stories tomorrow.

If you weren’t redirected here from Facepunch, and want to read Rebel Island, go here.

Well, I’m gonna go back to finishing up RI6. If I keep jabbering here, you won’t get to see it tommorow, now, will you? :P
