An update

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

Well, my blog has been the last thing on my mind the past month. Anyway, a few things have happened.

I had to reformat early in the month. I was installing Fedora Core Eight. Something went wrong somewhere and my Windows files went *poof*. But hey, a reformat is nice every so often. If you can back some files up first however…

I decided to get the TS server back up. It doesn’t lag like it did when I installed it last. I also have the Gmod server back up. The update tool was the second program I installed. The first was Steam. :D

I also split my hard drive in two. One partition contains my copy of Windows and all my clients. Teamspeak, Steam, Trillian, etc. etc. etc. And the other half holds my servers. Teamspeak server, SRCDS. Join Me!, etc. etc. etc.

About the Shoutcast server… I’ve been trying to increase the size of my playlist. I don’t want to have songs repeating over, and people getting tired of them. Too quickly. :D
I’ve made a forum post for you to post in if you care to give me some music to play in it, or if you want your own time to broadcast your music.

You can access the thread here.

The Holidays

Friday, January 4th, 2008

Well, I hadn’t made a post about Christmas or New years, so here goes the first post of ’08.

Fisrt off, I got a new sound card. The Creative Sound Blaster Audigy. This thing is awesome. It comes with a few programs, one of which being WaveStudio 7.

Awesome, no? (Notice the picture’s width.)

Second, Christmas.
I spent the night at my Gma’s house with my dad on Christmas eve, so I opened the presents there first. Nothing much really, just some clothes. The one thing I thought was cool, was a little RC heicopter. However, it is broken now. I took it out to fly and it landed on two different roofs in the same half hour. One of the landing legs is snapped.

Third, New Years.
I was dragged to Scandia by my dad, so I spent New Years with my cousins. Ugh. We also missed the countdown, as we were outside playing golf. I enjoyed myself most of the time however, especcialy when playing laser tag, or riding around on the go carts. Laser tag was fun, it was like being in DM, sneaking around, shooting people, etc. etc.

Fourth, I got two monitors!
Unfortunatley, the second is a CRT monitor.
So, now my desk is looking like this:
